Standard Mortise Lock with Brass Face and Strike Plates - 2 1/4" Backset

This high-quality mortise lock is an excellent choice for new doors, or as a replacement for a worn or broken early 20th century lock. It features premium precision components, a solid-brass faceplate and strike, and a steel case. The set comes complete with two brass skeleton keys and is reversible for left or right-hand doors. When using this as a replacement lock, it is important to measure existing cutouts on your door, including the backset, face plate, and mortise pocket. Some modification of your cutouts may be required.
Dimensions. Faceplate: 6" T x 7/8" W. Strike Plate: 4" T x 7/8" W with a 1/2" tongue. Lock Box: 4" T x 5/8" W x 3" D. The distance from the center of the knob hub to the center of the round part of the keyhole is a standard 2 1/4". The backset is 2 1/4".
