Large Stamped-Brass New York Privacy Back Plate with Thumb Turn in Polished Nickel

Designed for use on the interior side of a door, it includes a crescent thumb turn to activate the privacy mortise lock from the inside the room. Made of solid, stamped brass, it comes in Polished Nickel finish.

Dimensions: 10" H x 3" W. Inside collar diameter: 5/8". Center to center spacing from thumbturn to knob collar: 2 1/4". Thumbturn spindle: 3/16"; oriented on the diamond.

How do I know what door knobs will work with a particular rosette or door plate? The knob shank diameter should be a little less than the inside collar diameter on the rosette.
