Description
This heavy-duty, entrance mortise lock is an excellent choice for new, or as a replacement on older exterior doors. Designed for a 2 3/4" backset, it features solid-brass strike and faceplates, and comes equipped with an anti-friction latch for smooth operation. Its auxiliary latch allows for added security. This set comes complete with a 1 1/8" cylinder, three standard keys, and is reversible for left or right-hand doors. Match the decor of any room with your choice of two popular finishes.
When using this as a replacement lock, it is important to measure existing cutouts on your door, including the backset, face plate, and mortise pocket. Some modification of your cutouts may be required.
Dimensions: Backset: 2 3/4". Lock box: 5 5/8" H x 3 3/4" D x 13/16" thick. C-C spacing from cylinder to thumb latch actuator is 4 5/8". C-C spacing from cylinder to knob hub is 3 7/16" (knob hub fits 7mm spindles). C-C spacing from cylinder to thumb turn hub is 2 1/4". Faceplate: 8" H x 1 1/4" W. Strike plate: 4 7/8" H x 1 1/4" W. Tongue: 5/8" projection. Complete with a 1 1/8" cylinder, three standard keys and is field reversible for left or right hand doors.
This lock has egress and can cause lock outs if the stop button is not disengaged when exiting the door.

Hardware Tip
Thumb latch: Usually refers to a thumbpiece above the door handle, which when depressed by the thumb, unlatches the door.
