Decorative Cast Iron Screen Door Latch Set in Matte Black

This lovely screen door latch set is a House of Antique Hardware exclusive! Faithfully reproduced from an 1870s original, it features an elegant Neo-Grec pattern replete with scrollwork and flowers. The knob and latch are quite petite, making this a suitable choice for small and lightweight doors. A handy privacy latch keeps strangers out and pets in. Made of heavy duty cast iron with a classic matte black finish.

This set is designed to be mounted on the inside of wood screen doors which open outward, 1" - 1 3/8" in thickness. For thinner doors, simply trim the spindle to the desired length. Included spindle: 3" L x 5/16" x 16TPI.

Dimensions: Exterior backplate - 2 1/4" H x 1" W. Interior lock body - 2 1/4" H x 1 15/16" W. Backset: 1 7/16". Knobs - 1 1/4" diameter x 1 5/8" projection (including lock body).

Cast: Process where molten brass, iron or other metals are poured and formed in molds often made of sand. The products made in this manner are often thick and heavy.
