6 3/8" Forged Iron Slide Bolt With Black Powder Coated Finish

Not much to it. Properly sized and finished screws. I had to shorten them a bit because I was installing the bolt on a 200 year old plank door, but that's irrelevant. It adds a nice historic looking detail and is of obviously good quality, and at least a few cuts above what you can buy at any box store.

I have 12 rustic farmhouse dutch doors in a remodel project I'm working on. I just couldn't find the right authentic looking and feeling latch at the local Depot stores. This latch is perfect!

Would have like all Philip head screws. Slotted screws are old school but…..

My grand daughter has figured out how to open the door knob lock so this was a great alternative for my bedroom door and it looks fantastic!!!

I've not installed the lock, but it looks like it will do the job. I gave it four stars because the receiver does not line up with the tongue of the lock. The base of the receiver is not as thick as the base of the part holding the tongue. Installed perfectly level with one another, the tongue will not enter the receiver. A thin shim will fix that easily, but I didn't expect to have to make any alteration at all

House of Antique Hardware is my go-to when in need of anything more period correct and attractive for my older home. This latch is case in point; great looking, functional and reasonably priced.

We used these on a set of closed shutters that cover a faux window.
