Bungalow Style Single Push Button Switch Plate In Solid Cast Brass

These are beautiful switch plates of impeccable quality and design, and are a wonderful addition to our home; however, we had to work quite hard to make these adapt to our walls. The switch plates are perfectly flat. In a new house, with nice new drywall, plumb walls, and modern electrical boxes, these might have installed without a hitch. However, in an older home, and especially ours, which has stuccoed walls, we had a sizeable gap between the wall and the cover, which had to be caulked. They now look quite nice, but this is going to be quite a problem when we have to remove them to repaint in the hopefully not so near future! My husband has suggested that perhaps the switchplates be ""cupped"" like a modern switchplate.

The actual artistry and quality are excellent. I think it is a beautiful looking piece but it doesn't address its purpose for restoring an older home. If your utility box or wall is not exactly flat and level (which nothing is in an old home, mine is 1925) it sits off the wall casting weird shadows and rocks back and forth when clicking the switch buttons....needs to be a little concave.

The previous homeowner painted over our light switches and plates, These make our switches pop and add flare to our home.

The plate is flat on the back side. If the switch sticks out from the wall, (and they all prety much do)the plate will not fit flush againest the wall and there will be a gap between the wall and the plate.

Looks great and does not fingerprint

We are transitioning a 1925 craftsman bungalow back to the roaring 20's and these switch plates are a great detail to achieve this look. It looks great with the mother pearl light switches! We even have a rotary dimmer. The patina matches great with the original brass door knob plates on our French doors.

Good solid plate. quality material not cheap or flimsy, solid metal and looks great!

Is well constructed, very nice and heavy piece. Tough to find high quality 2 button switch plates at big box stores, but happy to have found this site.
