Despite their name, these "rat tail" tie backs are an elegant addition to any home. An authentic colonial design, they're made in the USA of heavy duty wrought steel, then galvanized and finished with a rust-resistant black powder coat. This sill mounted option is ideal for stucco or masonry exteriors, as well as wood. The sill mounting arm is also made of powder-coated wrought steel.
Dimensions. Tie back: 6" H x 1" W x 2" projection (at curl). Sill mounting arm: 15 3/4" L x 3/4" W x 1/4" Thick. The mounting post at the end of the arm projects 1" from the surface of the sill.
For best performance and to prevent rust, iron and steel hardware should be regularly maintained. After installation check for scratches or chips in the surface and re-coat periodically as needed. Learn about hardware >
