For simple, old-fashioned charm, it's hard to beat this New York style entry set. Authentically reproduced of heavy, wrought sheet brass with hefty, solid cast knobs, it's the perfect way to complete your vintage door. Left unlacquered, the brass will gradually develop a wonderful aged look, just like the antique originals (exposure to weather may make the exterior darken more quickly). A heavy-duty mortise lock with an auxiliary toggle security function provides lasting, top-quality performance.
Door set dimensions: Back plates are 10" H x 2 3/4" W and project 1/4". Solid brass knobs measure 2 3/8" in diameter.
Mortise lock dimensions: Backset is 2 1/2". Lock case: 5 7/8" H x 3 3/4" W x 7/8" T. Lock face plate: 8" H x 1 1/4" W. Strike plate: 4 7/8" H x 1 1/4" W. The lock includes a 1" cylinder and 2 standard keys.
This set includes a 3 3/4" swivel spindle and is designed to fit doors from 1 3/8" to 1 7/8" thick. For thicker doors or a double keyed option, please call for assistance.

Latch and lock - The door is opened by door knob on the exterior and on the interior. On the deadbolt, there is a keyed lock cylinder for use on the outside of the door while a thumb turn is used to lock the door on the interior.
