Our classic Louis XVI sconce is hand-crafted in Spain from solid, cast brass. In true 18th century style, it features a graceful tapered column and urn, exquisite neo-classical ornament, and authentic dripping candle sleeves. A rich French gold finish adds depth and luster. Tall and narrow, with a mere 4" projection, it's a dramatic choice for a gallery anywhere space is a premium.
To preserve the authenticity of this historic design, the fixture has been French wired (wiring is external and runs from the base of the candle along the arm, bound with small brass wires or plastic ties). This method of wiring was commonly used to electrify antique candelabra and chandeliers in the late nineteenth century.
Fixture is made of brass and measures 15 1/2" tall, 8 3/4" in width and projects 5 1/4". This light uses E12 candelabra base bulbs with a maximum wattage of 60W each.
For an authentic period lighting effect, use our genuine Edison-style bulbs in your fixture. These carbon filament bulbs are great for exposed sockets and cast a warm, mellow light. Learn about hardware >
