This classic Victorian floor grate will infuse period style into any new construction or restoration. Inspired by Gothic tracery found in stained glass windows, this intricate design turns an ordinary vent into a stylish accent. Our modern recreation is cast from solid, unlacquered brass, which may be polished or allowed to darken with age. Typically used as return air grates, they also work as non-adjustable heat vent covers. This extra heavy-duty grate varies in thickness from 1/4" at outer edge to 1/2" in center.
The first column in the size chart (Boot Size) refers to the cut-out in the floor that the grate fits into. The second column (Register Size) refers to the outside measurement of the grate itself. To ensure a proper fit, always order registers and grates based on the boot size.
