This late Victorian door bell is lavishly decorated with flowers and scrollwork in the French manner. Designed by Russell & Erwin around 1893, it makes a delightful "ring-a-ling" sound when turned. Beautifully cast from solid brass, it comes in a range of finishes to suit any decor.
The bell & mounting plate together measure 4 1/2" tall x 3 3/16" wide. The exterior turn piece measures 3 3/16" tall x 1 5/8" wide. This door bell fits doors up to 2 5/8" in thickness.
The turn mounts on the outside of the door and the bell mounts on the inside. A hole must be drilled through the door to allow the spindle to connect the turn with the bell. Learn about hardware >
