Solid brass narrow 1" backset mortise lock with un-lacquered brass faceplate. The solid brass faceplate measures 5 1/4" tall by 3/4" wide. The solid brass case measures 4" tall, 1 1/2" deep and 5/8" thick. The distance from the center of the knob hub to the center of the round part of the keyhole is a standard 2 1/4". The brass strike plate measures 3 1/8" tall by 3/4" wide with a 9/16" tongue projection. This lock comes complete with fancy skeleton key and is reversible for left or right hand doors.
Backset: On a lock or latch, it is the distance from the front of the face plate to the center of the knob hub. On the door, it is from the edge of the door to the center of the door knob. Learn about hardware >
