Exquisite in every detail, this Victorian brass rim lock will please the most discerning restorer. Patented by Mallory Wheeler in 1873, the ornate design is carefully recreated via a lost wax casting. All brass interior parts, a privacy bolt and keyed deadbolt make this lock as functional as it is beautiful. The case is not lacquered and will gradually develop a natural antique patina. Reversible.
Lock body: 3 5/8" W x 4 3/4" H x 13/16" Thick. Keeper: 3/4" W x 4 3/4" H x 13/16" Thick. Backset: 2 3/4". Please note: the privacy bolt can not be disengaged from outside the room.
The rim locks are reversible unless otherwise specified so they can be used on either right or left handed doors. To reverse handing, simply remove the screw in the case and flip over the latch bolt. Learn about hardware >
