This oversized brass skeleton key is the type used with Carpenter rim locks in the Colonial and Federal periods. Made of heavy cast brass, it's wonderfully ornamental, as well as potentially functional (operability can only be determined by testing).
Overall length: 5". Barrel length (from bow to bit): 3". Barrel diameter: 3/8". Bit is 5/8" W x 11/16" H.
